Automatic Sales Tax Updates

September 2, 2010 — RMI Corp., Avon, Conn. has partnered with CCH to deliver sales tax rates automatically to RMI Advantage Cloud customers. This new partnership allows Advantage customers in the United States and Canada to receive automatically updated sales tax tables, reducing the time needed for manual updates. Sales tax regulations differ across taxing jurisdictions and are modified in one region or another nearly every month.  Businesses with nexus in multiple states, jurisdictions with complex rate structures, or regions with frequent changes commonly find the task of managing sales tax rates to be especially challenging.

Crown Reveals List of Qualified Electric Forklifts

ABI Estimates RFID and RTLS-enabled Systems Revenue will Reach $845 Million in 2014


September 1, 2010 – This year, roughly 37 million higher-frequency RFID and RTLS-enabled asset tracking and asset management tags are expected to ship. But in 2014, such shipments will total almost 150 million, according to a new study released by ABI Research, in New York. The compound annual growth rate (CAGR) for 2010-2014 is more than 40 percent.

50 Kalmar Terminal Tractors Headed For Mexico


August 27, 2010 – Cargotec, in Helsinki, Finland, has received an order for 50 Kalmar Ottawa 4x2 terminal tractors from Idealease, a North American-based truck and equipment lease and rental services business. The units will be leased to a customer operating at the ports of Lázaro Cárdenas and Manzanillo, located on Mexico's Pacific Coast. Delivery of the new machines will begin in November 2010. Maquinaria Innovativa de Veracruz is the Cargotec dealer which will provide maintenance and service on the units.
